Arsenal are planning a complete summer overhaul of their squad, after a disappointing season which will see them finish in mid-table and miss out on European football for the first time in 25 years.
Already Mikel Arteta has promised to be ruthless in trimming his squad, and amongst those linked with the Emirates exit door are goalkeeper Bernd Leno. The German stopper has conceded too many goals this season and has proved to be error-prone, especially when asked to play out from the back.
Another earmarked to leave is right-back Hector Bellerín, who has been linked with a move back to Barcelona where he began his year, and is no longer a guaranteed started under Arteta.
David Luiz and Alexander Lacazette are both out of contract in the summer, and will not be offered fresh terms, and a number of squad players are also likely to go as well.
