Spurs back to square one in manager search

Spurs are back to square one if their search for a new manager.

Their initial top target was Julian Nagelsmann, but the 33-year old RB Leipzig  manager has agreed to take over from Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich next season.

Attention then switched to Erik Ten Hag of Ajax, who has just steered his side to the Eredivisie side again.

However, the 61 year old Dutchman is now out 9of the running as well after agreeing a contract extension with the Amsterdam club until 2023.

It means that Daniel Levy will need to spread his net wider to find the right candidate to replace Jose Mourinho, who was sacked at the end of last month.

Ryan Mason has been laced in charge of the team until the end of the season ,and he won his first game in charge on Sunday as his side overwhelmed already relegated Sheffield United.
