Manchester City have completed the signing of a player who has been described as the new Lionel Messi.
Winger Dario Sarmiento has agreed a move to the Etihad in a deal worth £5.2 million, joining from Argentine club Estudiantes. He ahs been compared to his illustrious compatriot because of his ability and speed on the ball, and had been tracked by the Premier League champions elect for some time. Like Messi he is also left-footed and relatively small – he stands 5 foot 6 inches in height.
And now he will officially join them in the summer.
Sarmiento is an Argentine youth international and is renowned for his dribbling ability. He made his Estudiantes debut at 16, but may not be ready for the Premier League just yet, and could be sent out on loan next season in order to continue his development, with Spain a potential destination because of his familiarly with the language.
