Arsenal are being linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt.
He is being seen as an alternative to Martin Ødegaard in the event that Real Madrid refuse to sell him to the Gunners permanently or do not extend his loan deal at the Emirates.
Brandt joined Borussia from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019 but he has fallen out of favour at the Bundesliga club this season, starting just 18 league games and he wants to move elsewhere to resurrect his career.
And Borussia are willing to listen to offers of £147.5 million for him, which is a loss on what they originally paid for him,
This is not the first time that Mikel Arteta has expressed an interest in Brandt, He was also consideration in the January transfer window before the Ødegaard move was finalised,
Brandt has played 35 times for the German national side, scoring five times,
