John Stones is the latest Manchester City player set to agree a new contract.
He is following in the footsteps of Kevon de Bruyne and Phil Foden who have both recently committed their futures to the Premier League champions ele3ct.
And it represents the latest step in the rehabilitation of Stones who had fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola but has since re-established himself both in the City team and also the England squad.
Now his performances are set to be rewarded with a new five-year contract worth £150,000 a week.
Stones was signed from Everton for £47.5 million in August 2016, and has made 163 appearances for then in all competitions, scoring 10 times.
Unfortunately for him he missed out on place in their EFL Cup triumph against Spurs at the weekend, due to suspension, and it was his replacement, Aymeric Laporte, who scored the winner on the day.
