Bayern make move for Tottenham target

Bayern Munich have made initial contact with the man Tottenham want to succeed Jose Mourinho as manager.

The German champions are in the market for a new head coach, with Hansi Flick expected to leave after an internal power struggle at the club with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic over the direction of the side and transfer policy.

He is widely expected to take over the German national side when Joachim Loew steps down after the Euros, and the main they want to replace him is Julian Nagelsmann.

The 33-year old, currently in charge of RB Leipzig, is also the preferred choice to take over in North London, but his price tag could be a bone of contention.

Leipzig are expected to demand compensation of £26 million to release him from his contract easily, which would be a world record fee.

That figure though is more likely to be withing the reach of Bayern than Spurs.
