Bruno Fernandes has indicated that he will only sign a new deal with Manchester United if Paul Pogba agrees to extend his stary at the club as well.
United want to give the Portuguese playmaker a new lucrative five-year deal that will see him earn parity with some of the biggest earners at the club. But he wants to wait to see what happens with Pogba, who will have just a year left on his own deal at the end of this season.
The French World Cup winner has been persistently7 linked with a move away from Old Trafford for the past 18 months, and Fernandes believe that convincing him to stay at Old Trafford will be a clear signal of the club’s ambitions.
The 26-year-old playmaker is also keen to see what the club does in the transfer market this summer, although the departure of Ed Woodward may complicate matters somewhat, as it is not yet clear who will be charge of such matters once he is gone.
