Arsenal’s Folarin Balugun is set to sign a new deal with the club.
The striker is out of contract in the summer, and was much in-demand, with clubs including Stuttgart and RB Leipzig hoping to sign him on a free transfer.
However, after months of speculation,it seems that Arsenal have persuaded him to stay, and he is set to sign a new long-term deal at the Emirates.
The 19-year-old is yet to appear in the Premier League, but there a great deal of excitement about his long-term potential. There had been concerns that his pathway was blocked by those ahead of him, but the news of his new contract may be the clearest signal yet that both Eddie Nketiah and Alexander Lacazette will be allowed to leave the club this summer.
Both will have one year left on their current deals at the end of the season, and now they could be sold to generate funds.
