Tottenham have identified possible replacements for goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris, who has just over a year left on his current contract.
There are suggestions they will look to offload him this summer to avoid him leaving for free, with suggestions that the World Cup winner could be headed back to France and a reunion with former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Whilst they are one of the clubs who have been associated with a move for Burnley’s Nick Pope, his price tag in excess of £30 million could mean that he is beyond their means.
Instead, they have identified cheaper alternatives in the for of Wolfsburg’s Koen Casteels and Lille’s Mike Maignan.
Casteels is a Belgian international who Spurs have had watched a number of times in the past few months, whilst Maignan, who has one cap for France, is about to enter the final year of his contract with the Ligue I side and could be available for a cut-price fee.
