Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be in line for a surprise switch to Liverpool this summer.
The Welsh international has endured a difficult season in Turin, with injuries hampering his progress, and has started only 12 of their Serie A games.
And he may be surplus to requirements in the summer, just two years after joining the Italian club on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal.
He has been linked previously with a return to the Emirates, where he remains a crowd favourite but now Liverpool may be ready to step in instead.
They are looking for a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who is out of contract in June.
There are reports that the Dutch international has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona, although Liverpool insist they have been told nothing about that.
Ramsey played 369 games for Arsenal, scoring 64 goals, including the winners in two FA Cup Finals for the Gunners.
