Real Madrid want to sign Riyad Mahrez his summer.
The Spaniards are looking to rejuvenate their attack this summer, and they have drawn up a list of targets, with Mahrez among the names included. In particular, they are looking to replace Eden Hazard who was brought in to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, but has struggled to stay fit during his time in Spain.
Mahrez is under contract at the Etihad until 2023, and had had a largely successful season under Pep Guardiola, scoring 9 goals – including two against Southampton on Wednesday night – and providing 4 assists in the Premier League. Although he is not always a guaranteed starter under the Spaniard.
The Algerian international moved to English football from le Havre in 2014, joining Leicester City, first helping them win Promotion and then going to become an inaugural part of the side that won the Premier League.
He joined City in 2018 for £60 million, making him the most expensive African footballer of all time.
