Manchester City have offered Kevin de Bruyne an improved new deal at the club.
It follows his rejection of their initial offer, with reports that the Belgian was becoming frustrated at the lack of progress being made in negotiations.
However, there are indications that the new offer is more in line with what the playmaker was looking form and there are hopes that something can be put in place before the end of the season,
He is already under contract until 2023, but the Premier League side are hoping to tie him down for longer, as he is considered a valued member of the squad.
Indications are that the new contract would see him get a pay rise on his present salary of £310,00 a week, including bonuses.
Since joining the club from Wolfsburg in 2015 in a deal worth £55 million, de Bruyne has made 251 appearances for City, scoring 62 times.
