Manchester United have made Leeds United star Raphinha their top summer target.
The Brazilian has had an excellent first season in English football, after joining the South Yorkshire club from Ligue 1 Rennes last summer.
In 21 Premier League appearances he has scored five and provided a further five assists, but offers more than a goal threat, with his overall play and willingness to give his all for the team.
That has not gone unnoticed at Old Trafford, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is rumoured to have made a personal plea to the club’s Board to try and sign the 24-year-old.
Previously linked with big money moves for the likes of Jadon Sancho or Erling Haaland, United have been hit hard by the pandemic, and may need to lower their expectations in terms of what they can afford to spend in the summer.
Raphinha is likely to be a cheaper option than either of them.
