Manchester United have a long tradition of signing talented Portuguese players – Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, and most recentl6y, Bruno Fernandes are prime examples.
And now they have been linked with yet another one in the form of striker Andre Silva.
The 25-year-old began his career with Porto, having progressed through the youth system there, before securing a transfer to AC Milan in 2017. He struggled to breakthrough with the Serie A side and was sent on loan first to Sevilla, and then Eintracht Frankfurt, eventually making his move to the Bundesliga side permanent.
It is in Germany where he has since found his feet, scoring 36 goals in 60 appearances for Eintracht, and his form has brought him to the attention of bigger clubs, among them United. Atlético Madrid are also tracking his progress.
A Portuguese international, he has scored 16 goals in 37 international appearances, Silva is reported to be flattered with the links to United.
