Manchester United are in talks to sign Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenković in the summer for a fee around £30 million.
The Serbian international moved to the Serie A club from Partizan Belgrade in 2017 and has since garnered a reputation as one of the best central defenders in the league.
The 23-year old has drawn interest from a number o clubs, including Manchester City, Liverpool, and Borussia Dortmund, but United are looking to steal a march on their rivals by opening contract discussions.
The Premier League club have been looking for a regular partner for Harry Maguire for some time, with Victor Lindelof coming in for his share of criticism.
They have previously been linked with Sevilla’s Juke Koundé, but with the Spanish club unwilling to budge of his release clause, they have been forced to consider other alternatives, and now it looks like Milenković could be heading for Old Trafford.
