Arsenal are in talks with young midfielder Miguel Azeez about a new long-term deal with the club.
The 18-year old youth international has impressed his season at under-23 level and has drawn comparisons with Cesc Fabregas, both for his ability to build from deep, but also for his eye for goal. The player himself though has admitted his admiration for Barcelona holding midfielder Sergio Busquets.
He was handed his senior debut by Mikel Arteta in the Europa League in December, coming off the bench as a substitute in their 4 -2 win away in Ireland over Dundalk.
He is out of contract in the summer, but rather than lose him for free, the Gunners are now willing to tie him down for the immediate future, with those at the club believing that he is about to come into his prime.
Azeez was born in England but holds dual British and Nigerian nationality.
