Manchester United are keeping tabs on Everton youngster Jarrad Braithwaite, and may make a move for him in the summer.
The 18-year old is a left-sided centre-half and is regarded as a major prospect for the future.
He was bought by the Merseyside club from League 2 outfit Carlisle United for £1 million, and was given his first-team debut last year by Carlo Ancelotti.
However, in order to further his development, he has been sent on loan to Blackburn Rovers in January for the rest of the season, for whom he has already made five appearances.
At 6 feet five inches he is a commanding presence at the back, and United now are considering adding him to their squad.
He is not seen a s ready for the first-team yet at Old Trafford, but as somebody who can be groomed to play alongside captain Harry Maguire in the centre of their defence.
