Jose Mourinho has scotched rumours that striker Harry Kane is unhappy and wants to leave the club.
Spurs Premier League challenge has faltered since Christmas, which has led some fans of the club to fear the worst.
Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been linked with a move for the England captain, and there have been suggestions that kane wants to leave his boyhood club because of his desire to win trophies.
Despite that, Spurs are still competing in the Europa League, and Kane has the chance to break his trophy doubt when they took on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley in April. However, despite Kane scoring, their FA Cup dreams are over for another year after they lost 5 – 4 at Everton on Wednesday night.
Mourinho said “to win a trophy we just need to win a match”. The 27-year old’s continued importance to the team was shown at the weekend as he returned to action after missing several games out with an ankle injury. He scored against West Bromwich Albion and immediately made the whole side better.
