Spurs have cut short Troy Parrott’s loan to Millwall.
Instead they have recalled him and immediately out on loam to Ipswich Town of League One for the rest of the season.
18-yewr-old Irish international was loaned out to the Championship side in August for the season, in the hope that regular football would aid his development.
However, it has not wok out as envisaged. Although he has made 14 appearances in all for Millwall, that has included only seven starts, and he has often featured for them on the wing, rather than in his preferred position of front man.
He has also barely played for the team in recent weeks.
Instead, Spurs believe that he will get more opportunities with Ipswich who are challenging for promotion from Division One, and hope that recruiting Parrott will give them, a boost in the second part of the season.
