Dele Ali is still hoping that he will be allowed to leave Spurs for PSG on loan before the transfer window closes next Monday night.
He wants to reunite with former boss Mauricio Pochettino, but any move is dependent on Spurs identifying a suitable replacement first.
And now they may have a candidate lined-up in the shape of Borussia Monchengladbach playmaker Florian Neuhaus.
The 23-year old began his career with 1860 Munich before his move to Monchengladbach in 2017. He was loaned out for a season to Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Dusseldorf, before becoming a Borussia regular.
He has since gone on to make 72 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring 10 times.
Neuhaus was called-up to the senior German national side for the first time last September and made his debut the following month in a friendly with Turkey, scoring his first international goal in the process.
Ali wants to resurrect his England ambitions by laying regular football under Pochettino.
