Both Tottenham and Chelsea are interested in South Korean centre-half Kim Min-jae, who plays currently for the Chinese side Beijing Guoan.
Spurs were interested in the player known as “The Monster” because of his height – he stands over 6 feet 3 inches tall – last summer when Jan Vertonghen left the club, but are now ready to progress things with news that Chelsea are also considering a bid for him.
Min-jae’s current contract expires in December this year and his club are now ready to do a deal for him rather than allow him to move away for free at the end of 2021.
The player is already well-known to his international teammate and captain Son-Heung-min , who has been pushing for Spurs to sign his fellow South Korean.
The defender is known for his ability in the air, speed, and flexibility, positioning sense and for the quality of his long range passing.
