Spurs are considering cancelling the contract of their longest serving player, Danny Rose.
The former England left-back has not played a single minute of first-team football this season having fallen completely out of favour under Jose Mourinho. He was left out of both their Premier League and Europa League squads by Tottenham.
He spent the second-half of last season on loan at Newcastle after a heated discussion with Mourinho which was captured in a fly on the wall documentary being made about Spurs, but they were not convinced enough to make the move permanent.
Rose’s current deal in North London is due to end next summer anyway, but they may terminate it early and allow him to move on now.
West Bromwich Albion are among the clubs tracking his position, as Sam Allardyce desperately seeks reinforcements to help keep his team in the league.
