Arsenal are looking for a new goalkeeper during the current transfer window.
Bernd Leno is the undoubted number one following the sale of Emi Martinez to Aston Villa in the summer.
The club wanted to sign David Reya from Brentford as a replacement but, in the end, talks over a deal did not come to a fruition.
Instead they acquired Icelandic keeper Alex Rúnarsson from French club Dijon but he has seemed out of his depth in the Premier League and has appeared very nervous every time he has turned out for the first team. He endured a nightmare in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester City before Christmas, a display that convinced many at the club and their supporters that he was not the long-term solution they had hoped.
With third choice keeper Matt Macey allowed to leave on loan to Hibernian, the club now want a new face with Rúnarsson possibly going out on loan.
