Rob Holding has signed a new long-term Arsenal contract.
The 25-year-old defender was already under contract at the Emirates until 2023, but he has now put pen to paper on a new deal which will extend his stay in North London even further.
It represents a major change of fortune for Holding, who was linked with a move away from the club in the summer to Newcastle.
Instead, he chose to stay ad fight for his place, and has since become a first-choice under Mikel; Arteta, making 14 Premier League appearances, plus a further three in cup competitions.
He joined the club from Bolton Wanderers in 2016 for a fee of £2 million, but a string of injuries has hindered his progress in North London.
However, those problems now seem behind him and he has already mare more appearances this season than in his previous four at the club.
