Amad Diallo has been confirmed as a Manchester United player.
United agreed a deal to sign the teenage Atalanta winger during the last window, but that was subject to a medical, a work permit, and the agreement of personal terms.
All these obstacles were overcome, especially after Diallo, who was born in the Ivory Coast, obtained an Italian passport in December.
He is now expected to meet up with the rest of the United squad once his visa has been processed.
The reported fee is £37 million, including bonuses and add-ons, and he has agreed a deal until 2026, with the option of a further year.
His new shirt number will be announced in the next few days.
Diallo is likely to play for United’s under-23 side initially, where he will join fellow teenage winger Facundo Pellistri who signed for the club in October, after moving from Uruguayan side Penarol.
