Mesut Ozil is in talks with several clubs and could leave Arsenal during the transfer window.
Reports in Turkey suggest that he could be about to sign a three-year deal to join Fenerbahçe, which will bring an end to his Arsenal nightmare.
Alternatively, he is also in talks with MLS side DC United, who have made him an attractive offer that would enable him to further his business interests in the US.
Ozil, despite being the club’s highest earner, has not played a minute for the Gunners since lockdown, and was left out of both their Premier League and Europa League squads.
And hopes that he could be recalled in January are now receding because of the form of Academy graduate Emile Smith-Rowe in his position.
The reasons for Ozil’s omission from the squad have never been made clear, but now it looks like his Emirates nightmare could be about to end.
