Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey is being linked with a loan move to Scottish side Hibernian for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old joined the club as a teenager from Bristol Rovers, but has only ever made two senior appearances for the Gunner, enjoying previous loan spells with Accrington Stanley, Luton Town, and Plymouth Argyle. However, he did pick up an FA Cup winners medal in August because he was part of the squad that beat Chelsea in the final.
He was linked with a move away from the Emirates in the summer, but with Emi Martinez departing at the same time, Arsenal did not want two keepers to leave at once.
If Macey does depart, Mikel Arteta will need to promote somebody from the youth squads to take his place, with both Karl Hein and Arthur Okowkwo vying for the role to understudy number one Bernd Leno and Alex Runarsson.
