Greek international Sokratis Papastathopoulos is the latest man set to depart Arsenal in the January window, following in the footsteps of Bosnian full-back Sead Kolasinac who has already re-joined former club Schalke on loan for the rest of the season.
Reports from Turkey suggest that Sokratis has reached an agreement with Super Lig side Fenerbahçe, and that he has now played for the North London side for the last time. he is out of contract at the Emirates in June.
His last appearance for the club was as a late substitute during the FA Cup Final victory over Chelsea back in August, and was left out of both the Gunners Premier League and Europa League squads for this season.
Since signing for Arsenal in the summer of 2018 from Borussia Dortmund he has made 69 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.
Napoli were also interested in signing him, but Fenerbahçe’s offer was the more attractive.
