Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac has moved back to his former club Schalke on loan for the rest of the season.
Nor is he likely to be the the only departure from the Emirates in the coming weeks as Mikel Arteta has made it clear one of his priorities during the January window is to trim the size of his squad.
Kolasinac joined Arsenal from Schalke in 2017, and has agreed to a substantial cut in his wages to move back to the Bundesliga.
He has made 113 appearances or Arenal in all competitions, but has fallen down the pecking order this season, starting only one Premier League game, with his other outings being restricted to the Europa League and the Carabao Cup.
Schalke are currently bottom of the Bundesliga and are already on their fourth manager of the season.
