Arsenal are considering making a move for Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey if Hector Bellerín decides to re-join Barcelona.
Joan Laporta, who is the favourite to become Barcelona president again has publicly stated that, if elected, he will make bringing back Bellerín to the club where he started his career one of his priorities.
Bellerín, who still has three years left on his current contract at the Emirates, was linked with PSG in the summer but eventually was persuaded to stay with the Gunners by Mikel Arteta.
However, it is acknowledged that he still has an emotional attachment to Barcelona, and that the right offer might tempt him back to Catalonia, so replacements are already being considered.
And one of them is England under-21 Lamptey who has been one of the break-out stars of the season after his summer transfer from Chelsea
They are not his only admirers though, with both Manchester City and Bayern Munich also watching his progress.
