The agent of Shkodran Mustafi is reported to be in talks with Barcelona about a possible move to La Liga for his client.
The 28-year-old German central defender is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the season, and has rejected a new deal to stay with Arsenal.
He is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January, although there are indications that Arsenal would not be averse to selling him when the transfer window opens.
Mustafi knows La Liga well, having previously played for Valencia before joining the Gunners in a £35 million deal four years ago.
He made his 150th appearance for Arsenal in their 4 -1 home defeat to Manchester City in the quarterfinal of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, but was at fault for their first goal and generally had a poor game.
Mustafi is a World Cup winner from 2014.
