Joan Laporta wants to bring back Hector Bellerin to Barcelona if he wins the club’s Presidential election.
The 58-year-old is bidding once again to become Barcelona President and has already started to outline his plans, including making Bellerin one of his main transfer targets. Reports in Spain suggest that discussions over a move have already started, with the La Liga side ready to pay £22 million plus add-ons.
A graduate of the famous La Masia academy system, Bellerin left Spain in 2011 to join the Arsenal youth system.
He is under contract with the Gunners until 2023, but retains an emotional attachment to Barcelona, and wound not be averse to a return to his roots.
He missed the md-week game against Southampton due to suspension, and had to accept a place on the bench for Saturday’s defeat away to Everton at Goodison Park, with Ainsley-Maitland Niles preferred ahead of him.
