Manchester United want to reward Marcus Rashford with a lucrative new deal.
The 23-year-old has had a highly impressive year off the pitch thanks to his initiative to tackle child poverty in the UK, which has benefitted millions and seen him earn an MBE. He was also given a FIFA Foundation Award on Thursday night in recognition of his charitable achievements.
That has not affected his form on the field either, and he has already scored 12 goals this season, including two in the defeat of Sheffield United on Thursday.
He is still under contract until 2023 and on wages of £200,000 a week, but United are aware that he is attracting the attention of many of Europe’s top clubs including PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
They are, therefore, keen to tie how down for the long-term and are now ready to offer him improved deal, along with playmaker Bruno Fernandes.
