Harry Winks wants a meeting with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to discuss his lack of playing time at the club.
Th 24-year-old is concerned that could damage his prospects of being picked for next summer’s England squad for the European Championship.
And now he is considering leaving the club in January, despite being a boyhood Spurs fan.
Winks played in the first three Premier League games of the season, but has played just 17 minutes of league football since, and has only been on the bench once in Tottenham’s last five league matches.
He did begin the Europa League match against Royal Antwerp on Thursday night but was substituted on 57 minutes, and appeared visibly upset when his number appeared on the board.
Winks immediately headed to the dressing room, although his manager Jose Mourinho later insisted that there was no problem with the player and that he advised him to go and have a hot shower because it was cold.
