Chelsea want to get rid of Marcos Alonso, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Andreas Christensen in January, but are finding it difficult to find any clubs who want to take them.
Frank Lampard wants to trim his squad in January after the summer transfer splurge, and is hoping to move on some of those he deems surplus to requirements at the club, including the three players in question.
However, a major problem they face is the current wages paid to the players, with Kepa, in particular, currently on £190,000 a week. He still has four and a half years left on his contract.
Christensen has indicated that he does not want to leave the club anyway, and would prefer to remain and fight for his place.
Alonso, meanwhile, is under contract until 2023.
In addition, the club still has Danny Drinkwater and Baba Rahman on their books. They could not find any takers for the pair in the summer, and this window may be no different.
