Tottenham are once again being linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Milan Škriniar.
They tried to sign the Slovenian international in the summer but were unable to agree a price with the Serie A side.
However, the Italian club have been hit hard by the pandemic and are looking to raise cash by selling some players. They have told Spurs they are willing to listen to offers of £45 million for him and the ball is now in Spurs’ court.
Jose Mourinho wants to strengthen his defence. He lost Jan Vertonghen in the summer, whilst Davinson Sánchez has been an erratic performer this season. They signed Joe Rodon from Swansea City and he deputised for Toby Alderweireld against Chelsea last week, but he is still young and inexperienced at this level.
Škriniar has played 130 times for Inter and was part of the team that reached last season’s UEFA Cup Final.
