Arsenal want to be active in the January transfer window and manager Mikel Arteta and Technical Director Edu have already discussed a list of possible targets.
However, Arteta has admitted that the club may have limited room to manoeuvre because of the financial constraints imposed by the pandemic, and they may need to sell before that can sanction new additions.
Arsenal are in need of somebody to give them creativity in midfield and have been linked with Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai as well as Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, who they tried to sign in the summer, but could not agree a price with his club at that time.
In addition, despite having an apparent surfeit of central defenders, Arteta wants to strength his defensive options with Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz and Sokratis all out of contract in the summer, and William Saliba set to go out on loan in January.
