Leeds United are heading the list of clubs who want to sign Divock Origi from Liverpool next year.
The Belgian international has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield since the arrival of Diogo Jota in the summer transfer window and has played just one minute of Premier League football since July.
He did appear in the Champions League against Atlanta last week but, like most of the team that night, failed to impress.
Leeds have previously been linked with the man who became an instant hero to millions of Liverpool fans when he scored the second goal in last year’s Champions League final against Spurs in Madrid, with Aston Villa also in the running as well.
Origi joined Liverpool from Lille in 2016 but has never really established himself as a first team starter on Merseyside. He spent the 2014 – 2015 season back on loan at Lille and had a further a loan spell in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg two years later.
He is under contract at Anfield until 2024.
Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
