Olivier Giroud is likely to find himself in big demand when the January transfer window opens.
The 34-year old wants to leave Chelsea, mindful that his place in France’s squad for next year’s European championship could be at risk if he is not playing regular first-team football.
Now comes news that Inter Milan want to sign him on a six-month loan deal wit an option to buy. They could face competition from Serie A rivals Juventus whose manager Andrea Pirlo wants to sign four new players when the window opens, including Giroud.
Meanwhile David Beckham’s Inter Miami have made Giroud their number one transfer target and are prepared to pull out all the stops to entice him to MLS.
Frank Lampard has said that he would love Giroud to stay at Stamford bridge whilst being understanding of his situation and indicating that the club will not stand in his way if he does decide to leave.
