David Alaba looks like he may become the latest star to depart the Bundesliga for the Premier League.
It comes with report s that his agent will begin talks in January over a switch to Chelsea after failing to agree a new deal at Bayern Munich. He is out of contact at the German club next summer so he is free to begin negotiations and to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club when the transfer window opens.
If he does sign he will be following in the footsteps of both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz wo made a similar journey to West London in the summer.
The 28-year-old Austrian defender has demanded £280,00 a week to extend his stay with the German champions, but Bayern are unwilling to match those terms for a player who came through their youth system.
