Manchester United left-back Brandon Williams has been linked with a January move to Southampton on loan.
The 20-year-old has seen himself fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford following the signing of Alex Telles from Porto on deadline day, with Luke Shaw first choice left back.
Williams made 17 appearances for United last season, but the best he has managed this campaign is to sit on the bench once without actually taking to the field.
In August he signed a new four year deal with the club, but now made be the time to continue his development elsewhere given his limited prospects at Old Trafford in the short-term.
Last month he came under fire on social media for allegedly contacting an underage girl on the Tik=Tok app. Williams and the club have denied the charges and he has appointed lawyers to stop the spreading of such rumours.
