Chelsea will not stand in the way of Olivier Giroud if he decides to leave the club in January,
The French international has made just 4 Premier League appearances as a substitute this season and finds himself below Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham in the pecking order.
And with the 34-year old having been warned by his national team manager Didier Deschamps that his chances of playing for France in the European Championships next summer could be compromised if the situation does not resolve itself, Giroud is now seeking a move away from Stamford Bridge.
If he does decide to do so, he will leave with the blessing of his current manager, Frank Lampard, although he is still hoping he will stay to the end of the season.
The World Cup winner has scored 29 goals in 95 appearances for Chelsea since making the switch from London neighbours Arsenal in January 2018.
He proved his continuing value to Lampard by coming off the bench ot score the winner in their Champions League clash with Rennes on Tuesday night.
