Granit Xhaka has downplayed speculation about a move to Inter Milan in January, insisting that a loan move away from the Emirates does not interest him at this time.
It follows reports that Inter have offered the Gunners Christian Eriksen and want Xhaka in return in a swap deal.
Eriksen only joined the Serie A side from Spurs in January, but has failed to establish himself under Antonio Conte, and Inter already want to move him on in the next transfer window, looking to save on his £200,000 a week wages.
And Eriksen himself is not averse, having not settled in his time in Italy.
Xhaka came close to leaving Arsenal last January after being stripped of the captaincy under Unai Emery, but he was convinced to stay by ne manager Mikel Arteta and has since rehabilitated his reputation with the club’s fans.
The current Swiss international captain is under contract at the Emirates until June 2023.
