Arsenal currenlty have a surfeit of central defenders. But that does not stop them wanting to add another to their roster.
Reports from Germany suggest that they have agreed a deal to sign Omar Riza from Hertha Berlin in January, although he may immediately be lent back to the Germn club to continue his development.
Riza has dual Tunisian-Dutch nationality, and has played for both countries at under-21 international level.
He was previously on the books of Manchester City, Feyenoord and Marseille at youth level, before making his way to Germany, where he has yet to make a senior Bundesliga appearance.
The Gunners cam close to signing Riza in the summer but could not get the deal completed in time, but now it seems they have got their main.
