Crystal Palace are considering making a bid for Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso in the January window.
The 29-year old Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Ben Chilwell in the summer. He has not started a game since being substituted in September when Chelsea were three goals down at half-time away to West Bromwich Albion.
Alonso still has three years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, but he was linked with a move back to Italy in the summer, although, in the end nothing materialised.
Palace are in the market for a replacement for Patrick van Aanholt should he decide to leave the club with Jordan Amalvi of Monaco another possible target.
However, with Chelsea looking to recoup some funds in the January window after their summer spending spree by moving on several fringe players, it would not be a surprise to see Alonso depart.
