Chelsea’s forgotten man, Danny Drinkwater, has taken matters into his own hands as he tries to secure a move away from the club in January.
The midfielder is now well down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and has been forced to train with the youth team, despite the fact that he is earning £120,000 a week.
The 30-year old has had a chequered recent career. He picked-up a drink driving ban, head-butted a teammate whilst on loan at Aston Villa, and then was involved in a nightclub fracas whilst on another loan spell with Burnley.
Now amidst fears that his off-the-field antics have put off other clubs from making a move for him,. Drinkwater has commissioned a company to make a video demonstrating what he can do on a football pitch. He will then circulate it to clubs and agents prior to the January window opening.
He has also been seeing a psychologist to try and deal with some of his personal issues.

He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
