Former player Christina Eriksen has been offered back to Spurs.
The 28-year-old Dane moved to Inter Milan last January from Tottenham, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Serie A side. However, he has failed to make the hoped-for impression in Italy, and has struggled for game time this season, making just 7 appearances in all competitions.
He was an unused substitute in their last league game against Atalanta at the weekend.
Inter are looking to trim their wage bill because of the continued financial effects of the pandemic, and with Eriksen on £200,000 a week, he is one of the players they are looking to jettison from the squad.
They had hoped to send him out on loan in the summer but could find no suitable takers at that time.
Now they are hoping that Tottenham may be interested in signing their former player, although his last six months in North L:ondon were the most indifferent of his six and a half year stay at the club as speculation about his future had a detrimental impact on his form.
