West Ham could pip Manchester United to the signature of Lyon forward Moussa Dembélé
The 24-year-old has long been a target for the Old Trafford club, but with him set to be sold in January, they could miss out on him to West Ham who have money to spend not having made any major signings in the summer.
Dembélé is valued at £30 million by the French club, although this could rise once bonuses are considered.
The French under-21 international began his professional career with Fulham and made 64 appearances for them in all competitions before joining Celtic. It was in Scotland where he early made his name, winning a league and cup treble, and another double.
That earned him the £20 million move to Lyon, but he has become frustrated lately by his lack of first-team opportunities having been left out of the Ligue 1 side, and now they are prepared to sell him.
