Liverpool target Ousmane Dembélé is one of five Barcelona players who has been put up for sale in January.
He joins Samuel Umtiti. Carles Alena. Junior Firpo and Martin Braithwaite, all of whim the Spanish club are willing to let go, as they desperately look to slash their wage bill.
Reports in Spain suggest they need to reduce it by at least £170 million and they are hoping they can find buyers for all these players. At the same time, they are hoping to raise funds to bring players in, with two men they missed out on the summer, Lyon forward Memphis Depay, and Eric García, the Manchester City defender, top of their wish list.
Dembélé has also been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, but has had a chequered career since his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, with his time in Catalonia plagued with injuries and he has had an indifferent disciplinary record off the pitch.
