Pep Guardiola is being linked with a move back to Barcelona.
Earlier this week, the club’s beleaguered President Josep Maria Bartomeu resigned, And now the front runner to replace him, Victor Font, wants to bring back Guardiola to the Nou Camp.
The 49-year old is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad and, has so far, refused to enter into discussions about a new deal.
And now developments at the Nou Camp may cast a new light on his future.
A Barcelona fan who went on to become one of the club’s greatest players, Gauardiola enjoyed huge success in his time in charge of the club, winning three league titles, two Spanish Cups, two Champions League titles, and the Club World Cup, before deciding to take a sabbatical.
He went on to manage Bayern Munich for three seasons before taking over at Manchester City in the summer of 2016.
